Project summary

Our Client purchased this property with the intention of completing upgrade and extension to achieve their lifetime home.  The problem was how to better connect the property to the garden and attractive beck-side setting.

We developed the opportunity for extension and refurbishment proposing an emphasis on material quality rather than any single architectural gesture.

Our plan involved positive consultation with the National Park Authority resulting in a straight-forward planning application despite being within the National Park and a conservation area.

Our Client now enjoys a light, garden orientated living space at the heart of the home and a cottage of quality rural character.
